Today is my mother’s birthday. We call her Zippy, and “Zippy the Voracious” in the GFL series is named after her.

I’m the luckiest kid there is to have her as a mom. She’s brilliant, beautiful, funny, smart, sassy and most of all, endlessly loving and good to me.

Zippy gave me a love of reading, and set me on a lifelong quest to learn all the things. That quest is how I ended up here, trying to make great things for y’all to enjoy.

So today I’m wishing her the happiest of birthdays, and saying thanks for road map to here.
